C130 Stalls like all the others
B25 at Firetower
This C130 entered a turn with
full flaps and plenty of speed
and altitude. It stalled and would not recover.
Randy's B-25 landing at the Firetower Fly-in in Piedmont, S.C. The main gear collapse and re-deploy. Slow motion reveals that the Firetower runway has a hump and dip in it just like the TRCF runway.
Near Cartwheel!
Strong Gear!
Randy was landing Dick's short-coupled Extra 300 in a crosswind. His unquestionable flying skill kept this plane in one piece.
Richard was determined to land his plane before it was ready. In his defence, however, it was quite breezy. Nonetheless, we are all impressed by the speed at which he has learned to fly. We have all landed like this and continue to do so.
No Flare Landing
C130 Takeoff Mishap
Not sure of this visiting pilot's identity or his intentions on this landing. All he did was bend the landing gear and ding his pride.
Obviously, the welded leaf spring on the retractable landing gear was not as robust as it should have been.
Waco Maiden Flight and Crash
Deadstick and snap
Maiden flight of a 1/5 scale Pica Waco turns tragic. A deadstick and slight cross-wind breeze kept the plane from turning on final and a snap ensued. Wish Luis hadn't parked his truck and trailer in the way. The good news is, the plane has been repaired and is flying.
Deadstick, too much runway and inopportune use of the rudder. Super-snap and demise! Bad words replaced by mutton-speak.
I told you it wasn't going to work!
Don't know what happened here.
This plane hadn't flown in a long time and the servos weren't initially responding to stick input as they should. After 20+ minutes of exercising, the servos seemed to be fine...until the flight.
Don't quite know what happened here, but it wasn't pretty.
